About us

In November we will remind how important it is to switch off sometimes

Who we are

For over 20 years, we have been providing a space for young and emerging artists. We create a safe place for aspiring filmmakers and game developers, enthusiastic amateurs, and curious audience. We enable all visitors to have fun, learn, and inspire each other—regardless of age or experience.

Festival theme

This year, we will be settling in at Moving Station in Pilsen from November 14 to 17. And this time, we won't lure you to faraway places—quite the opposite. We will return to what is closest to us all. To a place where we can slow down for a moment and hide from the world when everything becomes 'a little too much'.

Do you have your own "safe space"? Whether it's at home, with friends, or perhaps a place from your childhood that you only need to remember to catch your second wind?

We, too, sometimes feel overwhelmed by news, algorithms, and the hectic pace of life. We want to switch off for a moment and hide in a safe, warm place that allows us all to recharge our batteries. Whether your idea of an oasis of calm is a warm blanket with a mug of cocoa, sitting with friends at Moving Station, a walk in the woods with a thermos of coffee, a silly mattress fort, or a dark corner in a cinema far away from everyone else. It is precisely this feeling of comfort and security that we want to offer you this year. The feeling that there is no need to rush. That nothing is so important that it can't wait a moment.

This year's theme, THIS IS MY HOME, symbolizes a cozy and safe haven where we feel good. After all, we all need to be alone for a while, or share our precious moments of peace with those with whom we feel at home. The festival will therefore be in the spirit of a warm return to ourselves, to those we love, and to what keeps us all afloat.

About programme

You can look forward to competition films by young filmmakers from around the world, new animated films and archive pieces, as well as a generous helping of animation workshops led by professionals. The popular game zone with the latest titles will also be there—because even a game can be a kind of home when you immerse yourself in it. We also have something for teachers and anyone who wants to learn and be inspired — the programme will include seminars on film and audiovisual education.

We will publish the festival program in September and October. Follow our website and social networks, sign up for our newsletter, and come hide at our safe space in November.
