DVA

The Czech musical duo of Bára Ungerová and Jan Kratochvíl. Over the last 18 years on the Czech and international scene, they have found their niche. They transcend the boundaries of established musical genres and literally speak their own language, which only they understands — which is how they have managed to gain many fans around the world. Their first studio album, Fonók, released in 2008, brought the band enthusiastic reviews not only on the Czech music scene. Their follow-up album, HU (2010), won them an Anděl Award in the alternative music category. Their third studio album, Nipomo (2014), was released in the US, and the band toured throughout Europe, the US, Australia, and New Zealand to promote it. From 2016 to 2021, the duo focused on music for computer games. They collaborated with the game studio Amanita Design on the game Botanicula (2012) — for the music for this game, they won the "gaming Oscar" Excellence in Audio Award IGF in San Francisco. They also worked with Amanita Design on the games Chuchel (2018) and Happy Game (2021). They also contributed to the music for the games Attentat 1942 and Svoboda 1945: Liberation by the game studio Charles Games, which also won numerous awards for both works. In 2023, the band Dva returned to live performances and recorded their fourth studio album, Piri Piri, at the Jámor Studio.
