Student Animation Around the World

Student animation has always been celebrated for its youthful energy and boldness. Thanks to its bold visual means, unconventional techniques, and personal themes, it is often one of the most sought-after categories at international animation festivals. This is also true of this year's Anifilm student film competition, whose incomplete but multi-layered selection includes its winner, Bunnyhood, one of the most remarkable films of the past season. In it, director Mansi Maheshwari, like many other young authors, addresses sensory overload, the question of trust, and the search for sources that bring us back to a safe space.
