Little Susie arrives with her two brothers to visit their recently widowed and sad grandfather. In the evening before falling asleep, Susie decides to conjure up fairy tales from her grandmother's straw hat for her younger brother Tomík, using randomly selected words, just how their beloved grandmother used to do. They embark on a magical journey that shows that stories have extraordinary power — they can help them find common ground, cope with life's challenges, and find comfort and hope in a world of fantasy. This feature-length puppet film, based on Arnošt Goldflam's book Of Unwanted Things and People, is a colorful collection of tales whose humanity will touch young and old alike.
