Animation From Scratch I.: Animation of water
workshop

We’ll make a better animator out of you! In our animation school, you will learn low-budget, professional animation techniques that you can use in your own work.

You’ll try three different ways of stop-motion animation of water, using things you’d normally find at home. You can choose which appeals to you more, or try all three techniques and find that each works better for a different form of water animation. You’ll learn how to animate water with wool, hair gel, and transparent film.

You will be taught how to swim in animated water by Marie Kaderová, a student of animation and interactive production at the Faculty of Animation and Interactive Arts at the University of Science and Technology in Pilsen and a lecturer at Animanie.

Anifilm Echoes: Non-narrative and urban research
non-competition section

A city under animated scrutiny.

Every year, Anifilm presents a number of feature films and short films that tell a variety of stories. In addition to these, Anifilm also presents new abstract and non-narrative films to its audience. This year, in collaboration with Anifilm, we have prepared a selection of film experiments inspired by the city. You will see films that deal with urbanism, urban exploration or the theme of the Anthropocene in an unusual way.

English friendly.
