Science fiction fans are probably the only ones who feel like a fish out of water at present. But we from Animanie don’t give up either, as we move the festival temporarily into the Matrix.

We will miss meeting on the stairs, gossiping and giggling, and the applause in the cinema a lot. But we firmly hope that you will connect with us this year anyway. During the four days of the festival, you will have a unique opportunity to watch the online blocks of competition films, attend distance workshops, enjoy gameplays and relish other presentations. The good news is that the whole program is free.

And we set it off pretty „Backwards“, completely in the spirit of this year’s theme.

We will start with the closing ceremony and hand over the Animánička Awards, then we will screen the competition blocks and offer the entire program. And on Sunday, we will end with the grand opening ceremony.

It is quite topsy-turvy, and we still have a long way to go, but we’re really looking forward to it!

How to tune us in:

You can watch this year’s festival program online from the safety of your home. For all four festival days, two broadcast channels will be prepared for you. A TV1 will host the competition, workshops and ceremonies, and A TV2 will be dedicated to this year’s novelty – computer games. On this page, you’ll learn on time where to click to watch the program you like.

You do not have to watch us online! You can register at www.registrace.festival-animanie.cz. After filling out the form, please wait for an approval. Then a link to log in to the Video Library will be sent to your email. We highly recommend to register in advance. Registration is free.

If you have not received an email after registration, visit the link media.festival-animanie.cz/video. Your credentials are the same as for registration.
For example: for email joe@gmail.com, your login is “joe”. The password is the same as in the registration form.

Everyone who has already registered this year (e.g. when submitting films to the competition) has an automatic access to the Video Library.
